1About the app

This policy explains how Aarito (“we”, “us”) handles information in the Samagam Assist Android app (com.aarito). Samagam Assist is a helper app for teachers. It helps you work with school portals, prepare attendance notices, plan your day and create teaching material.

Independent app. Samagam Assist is not run or endorsed by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) or any government body. Portals you open in the app have their own privacy policies.

2Information we collect

• Account and profile details you give us, such as name, school, subject, post and contact number.
• Content you create in the app, such as timetable, leave and duty records, photos you attach, forum posts and feedback.
• Requests to our tools, such as the class, subject and chapter you enter to create a lesson plan.
• Photos and files you choose to attach or download. We do not access other photos or files on your phone.
• Device and usage information, such as app version, device model, crash reports, app interactions and an advertising ID.
• Location and microphone data only when a feature you use asks for it and you allow it. We do not track your location in the background.

Student details you see on a school portal are used on your phone only to prepare your notice. We do not store them on our servers.

3How we use information

• To provide and improve the features of the app.
• To keep your data available if you sign in.
• To keep the app secure and prevent misuse.
• To fix errors and measure how the app performs.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers (cloud hosting, analytics, crash reporting, AI and advertising providers) who process it for us, and with authorities when the law requires it. Data is sent over encrypted connections.

4Permissions

The app may ask for permission to use notifications, alarms, camera or photos, microphone, location, and display over other apps. Each is used only for the feature you choose, for example reminders or attaching a picture. You can change any permission in your phone settings.

5Third-party services

We use trusted third-party services for sign-in, data storage, analytics, crash reporting, AI-generated content and advertising. Some features show ads, and advertising partners may use a device advertising ID. You can reset or limit it in your phone settings. These services handle data under their own privacy policies.

6Data security and retention

We use reasonable measures to protect your information. No method is completely secure. We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your profile and stored content, except where the law requires us to keep it.

7Your choices

• Use the app without an account.
• Edit your profile and content at any time.
• Delete your account and data from inside the app, or by emailing us from your registered address with the subject “Delete my account”. We act on it within 30 days. Your profile, records and uploaded photos are deleted. Limited data may stay in backups or logs for a short time, or where the law requires.
• Contact us to ask about, correct or delete your data.

8Children

The app is for teachers and school staff. It is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows the latest version.

10Delete your account and data

You can ask us to delete your account and data for KVS Samagam Assistant (Samagam Assist, by Aarito) at any time.

Option 1: inside the app

1. Open the app and sign in.
2. Go to the Personal tab and open Settings.
3. Tap Delete my account and confirm. If asked, sign in again first.

Option 2: by email

If you cannot open the app, email SSSY6845@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my account”. Send it from the email address linked to your account, or include the phone number you signed in with. We delete your data within 30 days.

What is deleted

• Your account and sign-in details.
• Your teacher profile and profile photo.
• Your Personal Space records: timetable, leave, holidays, duties, notes and attached photos.
• Your AI credit balance and request history.

What may be kept

• Anonymous crash and usage statistics that cannot identify you.
• Copies in secure backups or logs, which are removed within 90 days.
• Information we must keep to follow the law or to prevent misuse.

Deleting your account cannot be undone. Data saved only on your phone is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data.
